Blaine, MN is located 12 miles north of downtown Minneapolis. The city is mainly located in Anoka County, and is a part of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Metropolitan area. The arena also offers a temperature controlled café that overlooks the four of the rinks. Visitors to the rink can take classes or skate during open skate/hockey hours. The National Sports Center houses the Victory Link Golf Course (nscsports.org/facilities), a challenging, 18-hole links-style course that covers 400 acres of ground and Tournament Greens, an 18-hole putting course suitable for golfers of all experience levels. Guests have access to a clubhouse and a stocked pro shop; lessons are available for both children and adults.

Shopping

Visitors to Blaine looking to shop can head over to the Northtown Mall (northtown-mall.com), a one-story mall with more than 100 shops and restaurants. Located on Northtown Drive, the mall is home to retail stores such as Home Depot, Burlington Coat Factory and Best Buy Restaurants which includes Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar, Dairy Queen and Chinese Gourmet Express. The mall is open daily, seven days a week. Additional shopping can be found on major streets such as Pheasant Ridge, which hosts stores such as Christopher & Banks and Bath & Body Works, and Baltimore Street, which offers a Kohl’s Department Store.
